As those of you who keep up with my Twitter and Facebook will know, I was recently asked to take part in the Summer Blog-a-day being run by the talented Kay MacCleod. Having asked the good folks of Twitter what they wanted to see, it turned out that they wanted to see my first shot at horror.
This isn’t something I’ve written before. I’ve read quite a lot and know some very skilled horror writers, such as Avrin Kelly, but I’d never actually written it. Now I’ve had a go? I think I need more practice BUT I’d love to know what you think.
So, without further ado, I present Siren, a short story set in the same world as The Walls of Tartarus. Have a read and let me know what you think in the comments below.
That last line! I love it!
